Ta, Da!

We went to the store today looking to buy a digital video camera so we could stop messing around with VHS tapes for our Christmas present to Mom and Dad. But after talking and talking to people at two different stores, and weighing our options and thinking about what we're going to do, we ended up just upgrading our regular camera. We can take 20 minute movies with it (which is really all we need), and then we're going to go out and get a DVD burner so we can make DVD's for y'all for Christmas.

Can I tell you a secret? I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA!

Without further adeiu, the first pictures from it (you'll have to wait for the movies):

Maybe we should find somewhere else to eat?

For those of you who need glasses, the sign says "Please Wait to be eated"

Friends Christmas Lighting

The annual lighting of the outdoor lights at Friends University was last night. We all wanted to go, but Caitlyn had piano lessons at the same time. We hoped we could make it, but we didn't. Caitlyn was upset. But the rest of the girls got hot cocoa and cookies and watched the fun program and ran outside (where it wasn't as cold as last year), and enjoyed themselves. Alison was a little sad that Santa didn't make an appearance, though.

Snow!

Look what we found when we got up Saturday morning:

Snow! Of course, everyone needed to go out and play in it (except Caitlyn, who had a friend who slept over):

We have a problem with Kristen, though. She doesn't like coats, hats or mittens. Right after I took this picture, off came the hat and mittens, and the second she fell in the snow... we went back inside!

Megan and Alison got ambitious and decided to make a snowman:

I should have taken a picture of it later in the day; it was at a 45 degree angle by 1 p.m. and gone a lump by the evening. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted!

Happy Thanksgiving

Okay, I'm only three days late. Sorry. We had a good Thanksgiving at our house. We had two friends (Sarah, and the Chavezes) over for the works (there was enough turkey!) and games afterwards. The kids played well together, and we all had fun and ate too much pie. Perfect!

Kristen was pretty good about eating the pie herself... she even had two pieces!

Lots of TV was watched.... (I didn't manage to take pictures of the mess the basement was from the kids playing. They built a wall at the bottom of the stairs out of the block. You add a boy to the mix...)

Playing Apples to Apples. The girls did okay, even if Caitlyn didn't know what half the words meant. :)

Of course, no Thanksgiving would be complete without a toddler dancing on the table!

Mama, Mama, What Do You See?

I see a...

Monkey!

And a tree fairy!

Looking at me.

That's what I see!

A beautiful fall day

It was gorgeous on Wednesday, and so we went out to rake leaves. Alison and Kristen discovered what leaf piles were for:
Jumping (sorry no good action shots!):

And throwing!
