I put the pictures up! (Bwahahaha!) It's with two young women in our ward: Brett and Kasey Anderson. And it was at a pre-camp campout in the backyard of the YW president (because it threatened rain, and the president DOES NOT go camping in the rain). They decided to do a photo shoot, and took a whole bunch of fun shots.
After 11 years, our last kite finally died last spring. So, when we were out and about this week, we decided to splurge on a new kite. Friday, it was FINALLY windy enough to fly it (it's been really non-windy here lately, which is weird. It is Kansas, after all...)
Our new kite: Alison and Kristen were happy to fly it. We had problems getting it up in the field behind our house, so we headed over to a local park where it flew quite lovely. Unfortunately, it got stuck in a tree, and we lost a part to it. :( Hopefully, it won't be hard to replace: we love kite flying!
I swear, every time I look on the camera, there's a least a half-dozen pictures of Alison. So, this time, I thought I'd have a bit of fun with the photoshop program. You have to admit that she's cute...
We had fun, though we also decided that maybe we should stop nuking peeps for a while. It just didn't have the same shameless glee as it has in years past. Ah, well. Chalk it up to age, maybe.
We had a birthday girl in the house yesterday. She was so excited, holding up three fingers and saying "I wee!"
She got to open one present in the morning: It was a fairy dress that Megan bought her. She was very happy about that.
After breakfast out, going shopping with Daddy, and morning session of conference (ah, the joys of an early April birthday!), we finally got to do the rest of her party that Megan and Caitlyn had set up for her. First, the games: This is what she's pinning on...
Then presents:
She loved all her presents, but this was my favorite picture!
She also sang this little song, which cracked us up:
