We don't often go, but we managed to this year. We even took the sister missionaries with us (it was our night to feed them). There were a lot of selfie booths this year, and Kristen and Alison took advantage of one of them.
It's always a ton of fun!

Valentine's Boxes
Last weekend, I had some extra time and I knew that this week would be crazy, so we went to the craft store, came up with some ideas, and worked on making Valentine's day boxes.
Alison, no surprise, decided on a Dr. Who Theme.
The cards:
Kristen had a difficult time deciding, but in the end, went for a color explosion:
Unfortunately, we did this assuming that they would use them at school, but Kristen's teacher decided that, to be fair, they would make bags in class. Kristen's turned out cute -- even if I didn't take a picture of it -- but she was very sad she couldn't use the box she made. Maybe next year.
And both the girls together:

Tis the Season for Book Reports
Alison did a book report on Jonathan Stroud's Screaming Staircase this past week, and did a good job of it. She designed a poster that looked like a ticket (I should have taken a picture of that, too. Doh!) and then dressed like the main character, Lucy.
She was really nervous, but it went well. Next up: making a pop-up book!
